What Frustrations do Employers face when working with Executive Search firms in Malaysia?

This is one of the first things we ask our prospective clients, employers in Malaysia, when we meet them to get a brief for a critical executive role they may be looking to hire for.

This question often takes them by surprise, as they are not expecting an Executive Search firm, to ask them to talk badly about their experiences.

But once they recover from that surprise, a wave of relief comes over them as they are able to vent about those all to common frustrations:

“I get flooded by poorly fitting candidates!”

“The whole process is such a disruption to my business”

“Why does it have to be so expensive?”

As working professionals in previous companies who have been worked with executive search firms ourselves, we can relate and empathise.

When we hear this we also know we have a great fit with this client as these are the frustrations we solve with every project we take on at FirstWorks.

Raj Kumar (Country Manager) and Elizabeth Hee (Associate Director) of FirstWorks discuss the frustrations employers face when it comes to working with Executive Search and Permanent Recruitment firms in Malaysia.

As an employer or hiring manager can you relate with these problems when it comes to recruitment and working with recruiters?

What are the other frustrations you tend to face working with executive search firms?
